What are porcelain crowns for?

Porcelain crowns are a tooth replacement option either for teeth that still have an intact root, or as part of a dental implant procedure to replace a missing tooth. Your porcelain crown will completely replace the visible, upper portion of the tooth.

How long does the procedure take?

There are two office visits: one to prepare the tooth and take a mold of it, and the second to permanently affix the crown.

Are porcelain crowns right for me?

They are an excellent option to extend the life of seriously damaged or decayed teeth, (including teeth that need root canals), or as part of a dental implant procedure replacing a missing tooth.
